Allows certain Veterans to earn high school diplomas if they left school to join the U.S. military without graduating.

Pace University

Offers a scholarship program to Veterans from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces who served in Afghanistan and/or Iraq since September 11, 2001. Program grants eligible Veterans a 50 percent tuition scholarship for new students in both undergraduate and graduate programs. Open to all admitted Veterans who provide a copy of their DD-214 form.

The City University of New York

Offers federal, state and merit-based aid and a Web site with specific information regarding services for Veterans pursuing their academic and civilian careers.

University Pledges Full Scholarships to Veterans

Beginning in fall 2009, the University of Rochester will provide full scholarships for Veterans to attend its College of Arts, Sciences, and Engineering, the Eastman School of Music undergraduate studies program and the School of Nursing's RN completion (RN to BS) program. Tuition will be funded through a combination of benefits under the revised GI Bill, federal and state aid and the new Rochester Pledge Scholarship. For more information, call 585-276-3693.
