Provides support to military families through local American Legion Posts. Apply for assistance online by filling out the FSN application form.

Armed Forces Foundation Family Assistance Program

Provides direct financial support to Service Members and their families for everyday living expenses, home improvements, transition and career counseling, funeral arrangements, travel expenses for military families, family counseling services and other related costs.

Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES)

AAFES provides quality merchandise and services to authorized customers to generate earnings to supplement funds for the support of U.S. Army and Air Force Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) programs. Find the nearest BX/PX.

Family Engagement Kit 2009

Educates families on safety matters to help prevent accidents from occurring when soldiers are off-duty. This multi-media kit includes a Travel Risk Planning System (TriPS), a Web-based planning tool requiring an AKO login to help you examine and reduce the risk of traveling when using your personal automobile or motorcycle. Also explains how alcohol, fatigue and post-traumatic stress disorder can endanger drivers.

Hope 4 Heroes

Provides support to disabled Veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, traumatic brain injury, loss of limbs and severe burns. Also offers transition assistance, counseling, career assistance and training, living skills, emergency funding, housing and family counseling.

Military & Family Live Consultant (MFLC) Joint Family Support Assistance Program

Helps meet the needs of geographically-dispersed family members of Active Duty, National Guard and Reserve who otherwise may not be able to find support programs.

Worklife Institute - OEF/OIF Reentry & Worklife Transition Program

Provides Service Members, Veterans and their families with family and personal counseling, career transition, work orientation and legal services. Free of charge to Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom (OEF/OIF) Veterans and families.

Wounded Warrior Project

Offers programs and services including benefits counseling, employment assistance, family support, recreational activities and more, to assist severely injured Veterans of the Iraq, Afghanistan and other recent conflicts transition back to civilian life.

Wounded Warrior Resource Center

Toll-free call center (1-800-342-9647) offers personalized assistance with military and government services related to recovery and rehabilitation. Assistance includes medical care, education, training, job placement, personal mobility, housing, transportation and workplace accommodations, counseling, financial resources and more.

Wounded Warriors Family Support (WWFS)

Provides support to the families of those who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations. WWFS owns five fully furnished condominium units for use by the families of our wounded/injured Veterans and widows. Preference goes to those with families and the greatest financial need.
