Electronic Small Business Information Exchange (eSBIE) Directory and Marketplace
The eSBIE system is a new, secure method for you to register your capabilities with the MDA Office of Small Business Programs. If you had previously utilized our Directory or Marketplace system, the eSBIE system is the replacement. If this is your first time interfacing with us, welcome! Please note that if you had previously been registered in our system, you will need to register a new account.
The eSBIE system provides the small business community with a repository for registering their company capabilities with the MDA Office of Small Business Programs. By registering in this system, you allow us to more easily reach out to you when the MDA has potential opportunities for your company. You are also able to utilize the Marketplace, which is an area of the site filled with current and upcoming contracting opportunities with our Agency. The Marketplace also allows you to search through interested companies on select opportunities to aid in your search for a potential teaming partner.
Click to access the Directory or Marketplace, or click the buttons on the right side of this page.
Missile Defense Agency Small Business Advocacy Council
The Missile Defense Agency Small Business Advocacy Council (MDASBAC) is dedicated to fostering and showcasing a superior collaborative environment for Missile Defense Prime Contractors that develop and promote successful small business relationships to achieve common goals.
Further, the MDASBAC seeks to strengthen the alliance with the MDA and large prime contractors to support the agency's missions and small business goals.
Click here for more information regarding the MDASBAC participants and contacts.
Mentor-Protégé Program
The Mentor-Protégé Program assists small businesses to successfully compete for prime contract and subcontract awards by partnering them with large companies under individual, project-based agreements. These partnerships have, in the past, delivered a variety of products and services for the MDA and will continue to provide the DoD with winning relationships for all entities involved. In the future, all new Mentor-Protégé Program agreements will be standalone, firm fixed price contracts.
For more information on the Mentor-Protégé Program, please refer to the DFARS Subpart 219.71-Pilot Mentor-Protégé Program.

Small Business Innovation Research / Small Business Technology Transfer
Advanced Research administers MDA's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, which are the fourth largest in the Department of Defense. The agency's focus for the SBIR and STTR programs is to pursue technologies that could spur a revolutionary leap or enhancement, decrease the time required to transform them into actual applications for insertion into the Ballistic Missile Defense System, and benefit from commercialization of the technology. MDA system elements submit research topics that are applicable to the needs of the BMDS. Radar and Electro-optic Sensors, Manufacturing, Materials Development, Modeling and Simulation, Command and Control, and Propulsion are all example topics.
