Oregon Child Care Research Partnership |
|
The Child Care Division is responsible for ensuring accountability for state and federal investments in child care. To support accountability and the application of research-based practices in child care, the Child Care Division led in the creation of the Oregon Child Care Research Partnership (OCCRP) in 1989. The OCCRP is a collaboration of state child care administrative staff, university and private research centers and researchers, as well as child care advocates and practitioners.
The OCCRP seeks to advance and share knowledge about child care policies and programs and their impacts on children, families, and child care providers. The OCCRP is committed to creation and implementation of a statewide, comprehensive performance measurement system that appropriately utilizes a shared set of measures and systematically shares information with child care policy makers, researchers, practitioners and consumers.

Department of Human Service Child Care Advisory Committee |
|
The Department of Human Services (DHS) Child Care Advisory Committee is made up primarily of child care partners and advocates. Field staff also participate and it is led by central office child care program staff. It has three main purposes:
· It is a forum for partners, advocates and field staff to discuss possible policy changes and service delivery issues.
· It gives us an opportunity to let the broader child care community know what is happening in the DHS Child Care program.
· To some extent, the members of the group play an advocacy role on behalf of the subsidy program to their own and other organizations in the community.
