ESI was hired to perform a timber cruise. In order to plan for future timber harvests, Rayonier needs accurate information on the condition of stands at mid-rotation (roughly 13 years old).

With guidance from Rayonier regarding sampling intensity and plot locations, ESI staff installed 1,021 plots using 20 and 10 BAF prisms. At these plots, data on tree diameter (DBH), incidence of disease, and site index estimates was collected.
