Ecology Division - Highlighted Project Experience

JaxPort Terminal at Heckscher Drive - Duval County, FL

Project Type: Environmental Assessment and Permitting

This property is located South of Heckscher Drive along the St. Johns River, just west of Sisters Creek.

The Jacksonville Port Authority initiated a project to develop a cruise ship terminal to accommodate larger cruise ships in and out of the Jacksonville Area.

Environmental Services Incorporated was contracted to conduct the preliminary wetland assessment, delineate wetlands, complete agency reviews, prepare the environmental permits for state and federal agencies, prepare wetland assessment data sheets known as the Wetland Rapid Assessment Procedure (WRAP), prepare data according the Unified Mitigation Assessment Method (UMAM), create a wetland mitigation plan to offset impacts, conduct a Phase I Cultural Resource Assessment, complete wildlife and protected species surveys, obtain the proper permits needed for listed species, inventory the protected trees, and lead meetings and consult with the client and engineers as needed.
