Transition Assistance
Help in making the transition home to civilian life.
Educates and informs the community about the challenges facing wounded soldiers returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as offers support and recreational programs.
DoD program offers a one-stop location for military and their families to find assistance ranging from training and employment to financial help, free airline tickets for hospitalized Service Members and their families, computers, care packages and much more.
Addresses the needs of active duty military and Veterans as they transition from military duty to civilian life, or from active reserve status back to reserve status. Programs include Veterans restoration and transition, warrior transition and Veteran transitional housing.

Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, as well as assistance with mental wellness, employment, education, events and navigating the VA system.
Provides comprehensive information on a variety of topics for Active Duty, Veterans and their families from employment issues such as pay, benefits and retirement to health care and personal family issues including finances, consumer issues and identity theft, and much more. Also offers a free newsletter for the federal and military communities and their families.
Handbook published by the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund that outlines benefits, rights and resources available to Service Members and their families to help with financial, medical, educational, employment, legal and other needs.
Welcomes home Service Members who can no longer serve in the military and establishes a support network allowing them and their families to ease into their hometown or new surroundings. Sign up online for assistance.
Assists transitioning marines with employment, veterans benefits, education and community information, and provides links to service organizations.
Offers advice for Service Members on how to make their family's health care transition go more smoothly when moving, especially when deploying or returning from deployment.
