Air Force Suicide Prevention Program

Provides information and tools to members of the Air Force community to help reduce Air Force suicides.

American Association of Suicidology (AAS)

Promotes research, public awareness programs, public education and training for professionals and volunteers. In addition, AAS serves as a national clearinghouse for information on suicide.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP)

Dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through research and education, and to reaching out to people with mood disorders and those impacted by suicide.

Application for Army Suicide Study - Letters of Intent Due on March 3, 2009

NIMH has issued a request for applications (RFA) for a Collaborative Study of Suicidality and Mental Health in the U.S. Army. The funding opportunity will be in the form of a cooperative agreement with NIMH and allows for up to five years or $50 million in total costs. Letters of Intent are due March 3, 2009. Applications are due April 3, 2009.

Army Behavioral Health

Information for soldiers, National Guard and Army Reserve on issues including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI) and suicide prevention. Includes help for children, couples and extended families.

Depression Before & After Pregnancy

Offers resources about depression before and after pregnancy, its impact on the health of new mothers and infants and available treatments.

DoD Mental Health Self-Assessment (MHSA) Program

Provides military families and Service Members affected by deployment and mobilization a mental health and alcohol screening and referral program. The Self Assessment for Veterans service is voluntary and anonymous, and it is offered online, by phone, and through special events held at installations and reserve units.

Give an Hour - Free Mental Health Services
