Serves people who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families, friends, co-workers, employers and business and government agencies that serve deaf and hard of hearing people through advocacy, technical assistance and educational and outreach activities.

United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of Washington & Northern VA

Works to advance the independence, productivity and quality of life for individuals with disabilities and their families. Services include assistive technology, day programs and health services.

Virginia Assistive Technology System (VATS)

Ensures that Virginians of all ages and abilities can acquire the appropriate, affordable assistive and information technologies and services they need to participate in society as active citizens.

Virginia Association of the Deaf

Promotes, protects and preserves the rights and quality of life of deaf and hard of hearing individuals in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Virginia Department for the Blind & Vision Impaired

Supports the employment, education and independence of Virginians who are blind or visually impaired.

Virginia Department for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing (VDDHH)

The foundation of all programs at VDDHH is communication--both as a service (through interpreters, technology and other modes) and as a means of sharing information for public awareness (through training and education).

Virginia Office for Protection & Advocacy (VOPA)

Helps with disability-related problems like abuse, neglect and discrimination. VOPA also helps people with disabilities obtain services and treatment.

NewWell Fund

Helps eligible applicants obtain low-interest loans for a wide variety of special equipment and assistive technologies, including wheelchairs, motorized scooters, Braille equipment, hearing aids, low vision aids, communication systems, environmental control devices, building modifications for accessibility or telecommunication devices for the deaf.

Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center Assistive Technology Services

The Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center offers state-of-the-art evaluation, consultation and treatment programs for individuals who require assistive technology to live, work and go to school as independently as possible.

Tidewater Center for Technology Access

Provides individuals with disabilities access, support and knowledge regarding technology, including short-term equipment lending.

Assistive Technology Loan Fund Authority (ATLFA)

Helps eligible applicants obtain low-interest loans for a wide variety of special equipment (i.e., assistive technology). This includes loans for wheelchairs, motorized scooters, Braille equipment, hearing aids, low vision aids, communication systems and more.

Mid-Atlantic ADA Center

Provides training, information and technical assistance on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to businesses, consumers, schools and government agencies within the Mid-Atlantic Region.
