California Assistive Technology Exchange (CATE) New!

CATE is working with community-based organizations across the state to enhance the quality of life for Californians with disabilities by providing them with assistive technology (AT) devices and by innovating the AT loan process.

California Assistive Technology (AT) Device Loan Program New!

Statewide program provides short-term loans of AT devices to Californian individuals or entities. The purpose of the loan may be to assist in decision making, to serve as a loaner while the consumer is waiting for device repair or funding, to provide an accommodation on a short-term basis or for other purposes.

Assistive Technology Reutilization Program New!

Allows users to post want ads for assistive technology devices. Consumers can contact and arrange to obtain the device (either by purchasing it or obtaining it for free) from the current owner.

California Assistive Technology Loan Guarantee Program New!

Provides funds to guarantee loans made by eligible lenders to eligible Californians for the purchase of vans, automobiles and other special equipment to facilitate transportation of persons with physical disabilities. Loans are also available to assist Californians with disabilities, regardless of age, and private employers to purchase durable equipment, adaptive aids and assistive devices for persons with disabilities to live more independently or to engage in employment.

ADA & IT Technical Assistance Center (DBTAC) Pacific

Promotes full and unrestricted participation in society for Hawaiian persons with disabilities through education and technical assistance. Serves Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada and the Pacific Basin.

California Assistive Technology (AT) Network

Provides information, referrals, training and technical assistance related to the effective use of technology by people with disabilities. If you or a member of your family has a disability, or if you are an AT professional, a teacher, a rehabilitation specialist, an AT advocate or an employer, this is the site for you!

California Relay Service (CRS)

Provides specially-trained operators to relay telephone conversations back and forth between people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or speech-disabled and all those they wish to communicate with by telephone.

California Telephone Access Program (CTAP)

CTAP distributes telecommunications equipment and services to individuals certified as having difficulty using the telephone.

San Diego Assistive Technology Center

The Center works to train and support people with disabilies through a multitude of educational opportunities focusing on assistive technology and is available to individuals with disabilities, their families, professionals and the community at large.
