The 2012 Second Chance Act Conference, "Second Chances and Safer Communities," was held May 22-24, 2012, at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC. The 2012 conference was the third national reentry conference convened by the Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center with support from the Bureau of Justice Assistance, U.S. Department of Justice under the Second Chance Act. The conference featured keynote addresses by Attorney General Eric Holder and Hilda Solis, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor.
