Am I Eligible?

Manufacturers can become WaterSense partners as soon as draft specifications are announced for their product category, but they must produce labeled products within one year of signing an agreement.

How Do I Join?

1. Review the program guidelines (PDF) (42 pp, 283K, About PDF) and make sure you are eligible to become a partner.
   
   
2. Complete and sign a Manufacturers Partnership Agreement (writeable PDF) (3 pp, 274K, About PDF).
   
   
3. Submit the agreement to watersense@epa.gov or fax it to (703) 841-1440.

How Do I Get My Product Labeled?

1. Once you've become a WaterSense partner, contact an approved licensed certifying body to certify products to the relevant WaterSense specification and obtain the WaterSense label (See Appendix A of the WaterSense program guidelines (PDF) (42 pp, 283K, About PDF) for details).
   
   
2. Follow these special procedures if you private label products.
   
   
3. Notify EPA when new products receive the label:
   
   
   • New Certified Product Notification Form: Tank-Type High-Efficiency Toilet (writeable PDF) (2 pp, 237K, About PDF).

How Can I Promote My Partnership?

• Use the WaterSense label on products that have been certified as meeting EPA's water efficiency and performance criteria.
  

• Feature the WaterSense partner logo on Web sites and in printed materials.
  
  
• Use the WaterSense promotional label to advertise and help constomers identify your WaterSense labeled products.
  
  
• Download and print copies of our publications to educate your employees and customers on the program and WaterSense labeled products.
  
  
• Use the labeling tool kit to promote your partnership and WaterSense labeled products.

• Help spread the word about WaterSense, add the WaterSense widget to your Web site
