Archaeology Division - Highlighted Project Experience

GENESIS POINT, BRYAN COUNTY, GA

Project Description: From September 2005 to February 2006, ESI performed an intensive survey across the approximate 2,300-acre Genesis Point property in Bryan County, Georgia. There were 83 archaeological sites documented at the property, including one prehistoric village that was over one mile long. Twenty of the sites were recommended for further work to evaluate their NRHP eligibility status and an intensive Phase II evaluation program was initiated in late 2006.
