Environmental Health Perspectives Volume 113, Number 8, August 2005
Environmental Health Perspectives August 2005 Seems almost every day there's a new food scare to concern us--too much food, too little food, certain foods are bad, some foods will kill you. Despite the contradictions in the media, however, serious health concerns underlie many of these reports and the research behind them. One of the most controversial food topics continues to be the issue of genetically modified (GM) foods. The Focus article (p. A526) updates the science of GM foods and investigates the ongoing debate over whether such foods are a godsend, a scourge, or something in between.
