Welcome to Sam Rayburn Reservoir

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District welcomes you to Sam Rayburn Reservoir, located north of Jasper, Texas, in the heart of the East Texas Pineywoods. Our mission: to provide flood control to the Angelina & Neches River basins in Southeast Texas (including Beaumont and Port Arthur), supply water to the Lower Neches Valley Authority, the Beaumont area, the city of Lufkin, and to offer some of the best fishing, camping and boating in Texas.

Facility Closure Report:
   Sam Rayburn Reservoir

Due to damages from Hurricane Ike, several Parks on Sam Rayburn are temporarily CLOSED until utilities are restored and hazards are corrected. Individual Parks will re-open once repairs are completed.

RAYBURN and HANKS CREEK PARKS REMAIN CLOSED.

All Corps of Engineers Boat Ramps remain open EXCEPT those within the camping areas at Rayburn and Hanks Creek Parks.

The Hanks Creek Day Use Ramp is OPEN.

Effective December 2, 2008, EBENEZER PARK is OPEN. Some hazard trees remain on the Equestrian Trail.

Effective November 24, 2008, TWIN DIKES PARK is OPEN . Sites 1-34 are open to to camping. The boat ramps remain open.

OVERLOOK PARK is OPEN

SAN AUGUSTINE PARK is OPEN

MILL CREEK PARK IS OPEN, sites 1-107 are available
