General Information common to all Parks

Each campsite is allowed 2 vehicles plus the sleeping unit. An Extra Vehicle Fee of $3.00 per night will be charged for each vehicle over the limit of two vehicles per site.

Limit of 10 people per site

Limit of two camping structures per site - allowed one RV plus one tent, or a total of two tents of any size.  Tents manufactured to connect to additional rooms or vestibules count as one tent so long as they remain connected to the main tent.

Boat Launch fee - no charge to registered campers or Annual Pass holders - $3 for non campers

Day Use Annual Pass - $30.00. Exempts holder from Boat Launch and Swim Beach fees.

Golden Age/Golden Access and the American the Beautiful Senior and Access Passes entitle the cardholder to a 50% discount on the above fees (except Ebenezer Hall Group Facility)

Ebenezer Park

 Ebenezer Park is the only area on Sam Rayburn Reservoir where horses are allowed . The Equestrian area contains 10 campsites, all with water hookups, seven with 30 amp electric and three with 50 amp electric hookups. All these sites feature a paved RV pullout, hitching posts, covered table and firering. Corrals are also placed within the campsite area. All 10 equestrian sites are reservable though the NRRS.  NOTE: ALL 10 sites in the Equestrian area are available for equestrian use ONLY. These sites are not available to other users.  Users of these sites are required to have at least one horse per site, and up to a maximum of four horses per site.  An Equestrian Day Use Area with hitching posts and parking area is located near the park and trailhead for those who do not wish to camp; however, camping is prohibited in the Day Use Area. There is no fee to park and ride at the Day Use Area. Sites 11-30 remain open to other recreational users. Contact the Sam Rayburn Project Office at 409-384-5716 or click E-mail.

Equestrian users are required to pick up and clean up after their horses.  Manure should be placed in the spreader located in the Equestrian area for that purpose. Failure to clean and dispose of the waste may result in citations and/or ejection from the park.

The 10 equestrian sites will be available for reservation through the NRRS (National Recreation Reservation System) by calling toll-free 1-877-444-6777 or online at www.Recreation.gov  Reservations must be made at least four days in advance.  There is a limit of 10 persons per site. Equestrian users will need to reserve sites in advance for group events through the NRRS.  When not reserved. these sites will also be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with the requirement that users must bring one to four horses per site. Again, Sites 1-10 are for equestrian use only.

                  Ebenezer Park is now open Year-Round!

Ebenezer Park contains an additional 20 campsites without water or electric hookups. The park features a designated swimming beach, drinking water, and one trailer dump station. Most of these sites will accommodate only tents or small travel trailers.. A new waterborne restroom with showers is now completed and in service.

Ebenezer Park is located on the south shore of Sam Rayburn Reservoir, off Recreational Road 255, approximately 23 miles northwest of Jasper, Texas.

Fees
Ebenezer Park is not in the National Recreation Reservation System. Fees must be paid on-site in cash (correct change required) or personal check. Credit Cards cannot be accepted. An Honor Vault is located at the park entrance.

Twin Dikes Park

Twin Dikes Park is a developed camping area located on the south shore of Sam Rayburn Reservoir. Twin Dikes is home to a multitude of fishing tournaments throughout the year. The park is located on Recreational Road 255, approximately 20 miles north of Jasper, Texas. The park contains 46 campsites, (6 sites with 30 amp electric and water, 6 sites with 30 amp electric, water and sewer, 4 sites with 50 amp electric and water, 27 sites without water or electric, and 3 sites with screened shelters, 30 amp electric, water and sewer), 2 boat ramps with 8 launching lanes, 2 waterborne restrooms with hot showers, 1 waterborne restroom, 1 group shelter, and 1 trailer dump station. There is a marina located adjacent to the park, (Sam Rayburn Marina Resort).

Sites 1-10, 12-14 and S-1, S-2, S-3 are open year round.             Sites 15-43 are open from March 1 through the Labor Day Weekend. Boat ramps are open year-round.

Mill Creek Park

Mill Creek Park is a highly developed campground located in Sabine County, Texas. The park contains a total of 110 campsites: 59 campsites with 30 amp electric and water hook-ups and 51 campsites with 50 amp electric and water hookups. The park also contains three waterborne restrooms with hot showers, one group shelter, one designated swimming beach, two playgrounds, one volley ball court, 1 horseshoe court, two trailer dump stations, one pay-phone and one boat ramp with two launching lanes.

Sites 47-110 are open year round. Sites 1-46 are open from March 1 to November 30

San Augustine Park

San Augustine Park is a highly developed campground located in San Augustine County, ten miles north-west of Pineland, Texas. San Augustine contains one-hundred campsites with water and 30 amp electric hook-ups. Five of these sites are tent only. The park also contains three waterborne restrooms with hot showers, one group shelter, one trailer dump station, one playground, one designated swimming area, one courtesy dock, two volleyball courts, one basketball court, one horseshoe court, and one boat ramp with four launching lanes.

Sites 29-33, 50-70, and 87-100 are open year round.
Sites 1-28, 34-46, 72-85 are open March 1 through the Labor Day Weekend.

Rayburn Park

Rayburn Park is a developed camping area located on the north shore of Sam Rayburn Reservoir. The park is located on Farm Market Road 3127, approximately 23 miles south-west of Pineland, Texas. The Park contains forty-five campsites, eight pull-through sites with 50 amp electric and water hookups, sixteen back-ins with 30 amp electric and water hookups, twenty-one sites without water and electric hookups. The park also contains four day use picnic sites, one playground, one waterborne restroom with hot showers, two vault restrooms, one trailer dump station, and three boat launches. The camping areas containing sites 11 - 25 and 66 - 79 have been closed due to budget constraints.

Sites 26-50 are open year round.
Sites 1-10, and 55-65 are open March 1 through the Labor Day Weekend.

Hanks Creek Park

Hanks Creek Park is a highly developed camping area located on the north-west shore of Sam Rayburn Reservoir. The park is located in Angelina County on Farm Market Road 2801, approximately 12 miles south-west of Huntington, Texas. Hanks Creek Park retains more foliage than other parks, providing a bit more "privacy" between most sites, while still allowing shoreline access.  The park contains forty-one campsites with 30 amp electrical service and water hookups, and three campsites with 50 amp electrical service and water hookups. The park features a Group Shelter, playground, two boat ramps, with two launching lanes each, courtesy docks and a fishin pier, two waterborne restrooms with hot showers, one trailer dump station, and a pay phone located in the Park.

Coming in 2008 - the following additions will open in Hanks Creek Park (OPENING SOON)
Three RV sites with 50 amp hookups
 Eight Screened Shelters with 50 amp RV Hookups
A Group Camping Area including a Group Shelter and five RV sites (50 amps)

A Day Use Area with swim beach, waterborne restroom with showers, Courtesy Dock, Group Shelter, fishing pier, picnic sites, play fields and other amenities is under development as budgets allow. The Day Use Area is not open at this time.  Development may be completed in 2008.

Monterey Park

 

Monterey Park is located in Angelina County approximately 6 miles north of Zavalla, Texas. The park contains one boat ramp with four launching lanes. The park contains no other developed facilities. CAMPING IS PROHIBITED IN THIS AREA. The parking area will accommodate approximately 36 vehicles with boat trailers. The nearest Corps operated park with developed camping facilities is Hanks Creek park.

Marion Ferry Park

 

Marion Ferry Park is located on the west shore of Sam Rayburn Reservoir in Angelina County. The park contains one boat launch ramp with four launching lanes. The park contains no other developed facilities. CAMPING IS PROHIBITED IN THIS AREA. The parking area will accommodate approximately twenty vehicles with boat trailers. The nearest Corps operated park with developed camping facilities is Hanks Creek Park.

A Texas State Historical Monument marking the site of the town of Marion, the first County seat of Angelina County, is located in Marion Ferry Park.

Etoile Park

 

Etoile Park is located on the north shore of Sam Rayburn Reservoir in Nacogdoches County. The park contains one boat launch ramp with four launching lanes. The former camping area has been closed due to budget restrictions.  No other developed facilities are available. CAMPING IS PROHIBITED IN THIS AREA. The parking area will accommodate approximately thirty vehicles with boat trailers. The nearest Corps operated park with developed camping facilities is Hanks Creek Park.

There is NO CHARGE for boat launching at Etoile Park
