Print 2010 Draft RFP

Vendor Conference Questions and Answers

GPO and Census would like to thank those who attended the Draft RFP vendors conference on June 6, 2006. We received excellent feedback and had a number of questions from the industry regarding the Print 2010 Draft RFP – thank you for your interest in GPO’s upcoming procurement for the major Decennial Census printing, finishing, and mailing contract – Print 2010.

We have considered all of your questions and are now providing official responses to those received so far. Below please find the Q&A results:

Below you may view the Print 2010 Draft RFP:

We would again like to emphasize that this procurement is open not just to printers, but also to finishers and mailers, provided that all elements of the requirements in the RFP can be met.

Feedback for GPO

We would like your feedback on the 2010 Draft RFP. We are particularly interested in your thoughts or questions pertaining to the following:

  • The presentation of the cost data in Section B tables
  • Organization of the proposal/proposal requirements (Section L)
  • Any requirements or contract areas that might not be clear to you

You may submit your questions and comments to Print2010@gpo.gov.

  • Questions will be posted anonymously on this web site so that you need not ask a question that has already been posed.
  • We reserve the right to categorize similar questions and to supply one answer.
  • We will not wait until the closing date to post questions and answers; rather, we will post Q&A as soon as they are available.
  • GPO will respond by July 14, 2006 to all questions received by June 16.
  • Following the initial Q&A period, there will be another “window” for follow-on questions from July 14-28. Answers to those questions will be posted no later than August 4.

Status of the RFP Release

GPO plans to release the Print 2010 RFP in September 2006. Contract award is scheduled for March 2007. However, this schedule is subject to change at the GPO’s discretion.

While the GPO will make efforts to inform all vendors who have registered on this site of any updates, registering on the site does NOT guarantee you will be sent all updates. Please check this web site for the latest information on this procurement on an ongoing basis.
