ST. PIERRE - Passport required. Visa not required for stay of up to 1 month and compulsory for stays between 1 and 3 months. Visa requires 1 application for short stay visa, valid passport and photocopy, onward/return ticket, proof of accommodation, proof of valid health/accident insurance and 1 copy, proof of sufficient funds (last 2 bank statements and 1 copy), and appropriate fee. Business travelers require a letter from employer guaranteeing travel expenses. SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES - Proof of U.S. citizenship, a certified U.S. birth certificate, ID photo, and onward/return ticket and/or proof of sufficient funds required for tourist stay of up to 6 months. HIV test required for persons seeking residency permits; U.S. tests results accepted. Expired U.S. passports will not be accepted. Travelers must pay a departure tax when leaving the country. SAMOA - *Passport and onward/return ticket required. Visa not required for stay of up to 60 days. Departure tax is $30. Anyone applying for work, study or staying more than 12 months must submit a medical report (may include HIV testing). SÃO TOMÉ AND PRÍNCIPE - *Passport, visa, and evidence of yellow fever vaccination are required for entry. Visas must be obtained in advance. Tourist visa fees cost $60 for single entry up to 3 months and $70 for multiple entry up to 6 months, while business visa fees cost $80 for single entry up to 3 months, and $90 for multiple entry up to 6 months. Both types of visas require 1 application form, 1 photo, and letter stating purpose of travel. Fees are to be paid by money order only. Company letter is required for a business visa. Enclose prepaid envelope or postage for return of passport by FedEx service. SAUDI ARABIA - *Passport and visa required. (Individual tourist visas are not available for travel to Saudi Arabia). Transit visa, valid 72 hours, requires onward/return ticket, 1 application form, 1 photo, and no fee. Business visa, stay varies depending on request of the hosting company, requires $108 fee (money order or cashier’s check only), 1 application form, 1 photo, company letter stating purpose of visit, invitation from the Foreign Ministry in Saudi Arabia, and SASE for return of passport by mail. HIV testing required for work permits; U.S. test results sometimes accepted and must be taken within 3 months of application. Visitors must obtain meningitis vaccination prior to arrival. SEYCHELLES - *Valid passport, onward/return ticket, proof of sufficient funds, and proof of accommodation required. Visa issued upon arrival for stay of up to 1 month, no charge, extendible up to 1 year. Medical exam, including HIV test, performed upon arrival for work permits; U.S. test not accepted. There is an airport departure tax of $40, which must be paid in U.S. dollars. SIERRA LEONE - *Passport and visa required. Single-entry visa valid 6 months, requires 1 application form, 1 photo, return/ onward ticket, proof of financial support from bank or employer and $100 fee (money order only). Multiple-entry visa, valid for 1 year, require payment of a $200 fee. Business visa also requires a letter of invitation from a company in Sierra Leone and a profile of the company in the U.S. that the traveler is representing. Business visa valid 5 years with maximum durations of stay up to 6 months, requires 1 application form, 2 photos, a company letter, a letter from sponsoring agency in Sri Lanka and employing company in U.S., a copy of an onward/return ticket, and $100 fee. SUDAN - *Passport and visa required. Transit visa valid up to 7 days, requires application, payment of the $150 fee, onward/return ticket, and visa for next destination, if appropriate. Tourist/business visa for single-entry visit lasting 8 days up to 3 months, requires passport with minimum validity of 6 months, payment of the $150 fee, 1 application form, 1 photo, proof of sufficient funds and travel itinerary. Yellow fever and cholera vaccinations are recommended. Business visa requires company letter stating purpose of visit and invitation from Sudanese officials. Business visa requires company letter explaining purpose of trip, name of institution to be visited and its address and telephone number in Suriname, as well as the expected duration of visit.
