DENMARK - DJIBOUTI - DOMINICA - DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

DENMARK (including GREENLAND) - *Passport required. Visa not required for a stay of up to 90 days. (**90-day period begins when entering Schengen countries). Passport must be valid for three months beyond the last day of your stay in the Schengen countries. For longer stays visa requires 1 application form, 1 supplementary information form, 2 recent photos, letter of invitation, proof of sufficient funds, proof of accommodation, onward/return ticket, and valid travel insurance. Minors must present written consent of the parent(s) or guardian(s) having custody of the child. Visa fee $43; $15 fee will be charged if passport is mailed back to you. Special rules apply for entry into the U.S.-operated defense area in Greenland. DJIBOUTI - *Passport and visa required. Visas must be obtained prior to arrival. Proof of yellow fever immunization also required. DOMINICA - Valid passport is strongly recommended, but tourists may enter with proof of citizenship such as a certified birth certificate (with raised seal), naturalization certificate and photo ID. Onward/return ticket requires, confirmation of hotel reservation, and another form of picture ID required. Persons who choose to travel with documentation other than a passport may be refused boarding on connecting flights into the Commonwealth of Dominica or within the Caribbean. DOMINICAN REPUBLIC - Passport is strongly recommended, but tourists may enter with birth certificate and photo ID. A tourist card is required, and can be purchased for $10 at consulate or Dominican airports at entry points. Tourist card permits a legal stay of up to 60 days. For longer stays an extension must be requested at the Migration Department in Santo Domingo. Minors, under 18 years of age, traveling alone, with only one parent, or a third party must present written authorization by the absent parent(s) or legal guardian. This authorization must be notarized at a Dominican Consulate. HIV test required for residence permit. U.S. test not accepted. ECUADOR (including the Galapagos Islands) - *Passport with minimum validity of six months required. Visa not required for a stay of up to 90 days. EGYPT - *Passport and visa required. Visas may be obtained upon entry from the Entry Visa Department at the Travel Documents, Immigration and Nationality Administration or most major ports of entry. Entry visa is required for any foreigner arriving in Egypt for purposes other than tourism (e.g. work, study). Tourist visas (single-/multiple-entry) are valid for 90 days. HIV test required for study and work permits. Dependents are no longer exempt—spouses must also get tested, as well as any children aged 15 or older. Students are exempt from visa fees. EL SALVADOR - *Passport and single-entry tourist card are required. The tourist card may be obtained from immigration officials for a $10 fee upon arrival in country. An exit tax of $27.15 must be paid, either in Salvadoran colones or U.S. dollars. HIV test required for multiple-entry visas and residency permits; U.S. test not accepted. EQUATORIAL GUINEA - *Passport and yellow fever vaccination required. Visa not required for stay of up to 90 days. For longer stays, permit must be obtained from the National Police Bureau and you must show proof of sufficient funds. No visa fee required for U.S. citizens. Visa requires photocopy of valid U.S. passport (showing name, birth date, passport number and expiration date), 2 application forms, 2 passport photos, and proof of sufficient funds (at least $2000). Business visa requires letter from employer explaining purpose of trip and a financial statement confirming minimum amount of $2,000 to cover expenses of your stay. ERITREA - *Passport, proof of onward/return ticket, and visa required; visas are not available at the airport. Tourist visa requires 1 application, 1 photo, $25 fee (no personal checks), and proof of sufficient funds. Business visa requires company letter stating purpose of travel. Exit visa not required as long as they do not stay beyond their visa expiration date. All long-term residents, regardless of their citizenship, must obtain an exit visa before departure. There is an airport departure tax. Allow 3 working days for processing. May be subject to HIV testing upon arrival. Include SASE for return of passport by mail. ESTONIA - *Passport required. Visas are not required for stays of up to 90 days. Longer stays require a residency permit. Visa requires 1 application form, passport (with minimum validity of 3 months), 1 recent color passport sized photo, valid health insurance policy, documentation confirming reason for visit, and proof of sufficient funds. Visa fee $25 for single entry up to 30 days; $44 single/multiple entry up to 90 days; $31 multiple entry up to 30 days; $61 for multiple entry visa valid for 1 year. Receipt reflecting payment of visa fee is required to obtain visa. ETHIOPIA - *Passport and visa required. Visa requires a valid passport, 1 recent color passport sized photo, and 3 application forms. Business visa requires letter from organization or company. Visa fee (business/tourist); $70 for multiple-entry, valid for 2 years. Yellow fever immunization is recommended. Passengers in transit through Ethiopia holding confirmed onward bookings within 72 hours can obtain transit visas; $40 fee (single entry). Upon arrival at airport, you must declare any foreign currency to customs authority. Exit visas are required of all visitors remaining in Ethiopia for more than 30 days. Some countries require that your U.S. passport be valid at least 6 months or longer beyond the dates of your trip.
