Air Force Personnel Center

Resources include Airman and Family Readiness Center (A&FRC), Air Force Retiree Services Section (AFPC/DPSIAR), which manages the Air Force Retiree Activities Program and the Survivor Benefit Plan, and Air Force Assistance Fund (AFAF), which helps Air Force families with emergency aid, educational needs and retirement homes for widows or widowers of Air Force members in need of financial assistance.

American Freedom Foundation

Runs the American Freedom Festival. Raises money and awareness regarding welfare and educational issues facing those wounded in action or disabled and families of veterans killed in action during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Armed Forces Foundation

Programs include injured support services, housing assistance, family bereavement assistance, direct financial help, career counseling and recreation opportunities.

Army Aviation Association of America

Support for Army Aviation soldiers and families including financial assistance for college-level education of members and spouses, unmarried siblings, unmarried children and unmarried grandchildren of current and deceased members.

Flaum Souksamlane In Loving Memory Foundation

College scholarships for children who have had one or both parents die and grants to organizations helping children through the grieving process.

Freedom Alliance

Grants to wounded troops and families to assist with housing, travel or other needs. Special fund provides educational scholarships to children of an active duty service member who was killed, permanently disabled or who is currently certified as POW or MIA. Scholarships for Military Children

Scholarships awarded at every commissary for payment of tuition, books, lab fees and other related expenses. Open to dependent unmarried children under age 21 (23 if enrolled as a full-time student) of active duty personnel, Reserve/National Guard and retired military members or survivors of deceased members.

Special Operations Warrior Foundation College Scholarship

Offers college scholarships, financial aid and educational counseling for children of Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps Special Operations personnel who were killed in an operational mission or training accident.

Survivors' & Dependents' Educational Assistance
