Air Force Wounded Warrior Program (AFW2)

Airmen medically separated with combat-related disability, including Purple Heart recipients, are provided a family liaison officer, transition assistance, case management, civilian job search assistance and help with filing of VA disability claims. Document is in .pdf format.

Army Wounded Warrior Program (AW2)

Serves the most severely wounded, injured or ill soldiers and their families in their transition back into civilian or military life. Soldier Family Management Specialists located at all major military treatment facilities and VA Medical Centers provide support to soldiers with disability ratings of 30 percent or more for as long as needed.

Computer/Electronic Accomodations Program (CAP) - Wounded Service Members Initiative

Provides needs assessments, assistive technology and training to wounded service members throughout all phases of recovery and transition to employment.

Federal Recovery Coordinator Program

DoD, VA and Department of Health and Human Services program that reaches into the private sector to identify services for seriously wounded and ill service members, veterans and their families.

Marine for Life

Assists transitioning Marines with employment, veterans benefits, education and community information, and provides links to service organizations and more.

Military HOMEFRONT

Toll-free 888-774-1361 call center offers personalized assistance with military and government services related to recovery and rehabilitation. Assistance includes medical care, education, training, job placement, personal mobility, housing, transportation and workplace accommodations, counseling, financial resources and more.

Program helps wounded warriors build life-long skills they can enjoy in their home communities through activities such as hunting, fishing, archery, hiking and camping.
