Welcome to the Army Office of Energy Initiatives (OEI). The OEI was established by the Secretary of the Army in September 2011 to serve as the central management office for partnering with U.S. Army installations to implement cost-effective, large-scale renewable energy projects, 10 megawatts or greater, leveraging private sector financing.
Over the past several years, we have developed industry relationships that include serving utilities, developers, manufacturers, law firms, financiers and associations. We continue to move forward with large-scale renewable energy projects to achieve energy security, financial predictability, and renewable energy goals set by Congress, the Secretary and the President. The OEI is committed to providing multiple opportunities through diverse procurement paths.
