Director, Business Management Office
Mission Statement
This organization is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer. The office provides a variety of services designed to support the senior executive staff, financial and resource management, contract and organizational performance oversight, and other business management activities.
Functions
- Directs planning, oversight, integration, and management of administrative, financial, staff resources, and support systems for the Office;
- Provides oversight of the business management, staffing and resource allocation, workforce planning, training and development; performance management, succession planning, financial management to include budget development, integration and execution functions, and organizational development functions within the Office;
- Leads the acquisition, real property and space management, procurement and contract management; and information resources management of the office;
- Manages administrative coordination and liaison for internal personnel administration and support;
- Ensures physical security compliance and continuity of operations preparedness for the office;
- Administers, in conjunction with the Office of the Secretary and the Office of Management, the Secretarial Awards Program;
- Leads internal efforts to ensure equal employment opportunity; training and employee development; position management and pay administration;
- Advises and assists on all administrative, budgetary/resource policy and program issues impacting HC and its customers;
- Provides corporate oversight of the DOE/HR Training Most Efficient Organization (MEO) contract as performed by the Enterprise Training Service (ETS) Group;
- Prepare and maintain documentation reflecting the quality and quantity of the Enterprise Training Service performance;
- Administers the DOE Quality Surveillance Plan (QASP) and conducts inspections, assessments and other evaluations based on QASP requirements;
- Provides oversight of the HC-related Working Capital Fund business lines; and
- Managing the Office of the CHCO intranet and internet websites.
