Refuge Map

The map below shows the refuge features and boundaries. The map contains clickable regions, so if you move your mouse over a featured area, you will be able to click it and visit the page that describes the management or activity that relates to it.

If you prefer, you can click on the links below instead of the regions on the map:

  • The Visitor Center and nature trail are located at the Refuge headquarters on the west side of the refuge.

  • Wildlife observation is a popular activity along refuge roads.

  • Fishing at Silver Lake can be done either from fishing piers or from a boat. You may access both the piers and the boat launch from the north entrance.

  • To participate in waterfowl hunting you would check in at the hunting headquarters on the north side of the refuge.

  • The prairie on the east side of the refuge is where you can see the results of our grassland management program.

  • The moist soil units are next to Swan and Silver Lakes.
