Cleveland State University (CSU), established in 1964, is located in downtown Cleveland, Ohio along the shores of Lake Erie. Cleveland boasts of many cultural attractions, leading medical centers, and large multinational companies. CSU is a dynamic urban campus situated on 85 acres with 40 buildings used for teaching, research, housing, and recreation.

EDUCATE:

CSU offers 70 undergraduate, 36 master, and 11 doctoral degree programs. 98% of our full-time faculty holds the highest degrees in their fields.

The English as a Second Language Program at CSU offers a variety of courses. The undergraduate courses focus on reading and writing skills in preparation for ENG 101. The graduate courses, while designed to assist International Teaching Assistants with communication skills, are open to all graduate students. There is also an Intensive English Language Program that provides 20 hours of instruction per week in all of the language skills. Completion of the Intensive English Language Program is another option for those students who have not yet fulfilled their English proficiency requirement. CSU is accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Each college and special programs also hold full accreditation.

The diverse CSU student population is currently at 16,000. We have 800 international students representing 80 different countries. International students have many opportunities for both academic and personal growth at CSU.
