The New America School

NAS

Welcome to The New America School’s International Visa Student Program. On this page you will find information on our school, and how YOU can study in America and earn an American high school diploma. At The New America School, you will improve and perfect your language skills by taking special classes in English, math, science, U.S. history and other courses. New America School teachers are experts at teaching English to non-native English speakers. They use specialized techniques that integrate English throughout the curriculum and to give International students the attention they deserve.

The New America School’s International Visa Student program allows qualified students to earn their high school diploma in only one year of study, and positions them to go on to American colleges and universities. Students who graduate from an American high school have a higher chance of being accepted to an American college or university than International students who apply directly without an American education.

NAS classes are taught by American teachers in the lively and bustling Denver, Colorado metropolitan area. As a NAS student, you will study side-by-side with American students, as well as other international students. Classes are held Monday-Thursday, day and night, so that you have time to study AND experience life and culture in America. In the Denver area, you will live in an exciting metropolitan area that features excellent restaurants, museums, shopping, sporting events and many activities available every day. Skiing, camping, hiking and recreating in the beautiful Rocky Mountains are all available only an hour away.

As a NAS student, you will be able to attend field trips, participate in NAS sports, and attend school dances and activities. You will have the opportunity to join the NAS internship/work study program, in which you will be able to work for up to 20 hours per week, and complete valuable internships to gain experience working in American businesses and organizations. The class also includes instruction on writing resumes, interviewing skills and other techniques important to gaining and keeping employment.

There are many benefits to studying at The New America School. Most importantly, NAS students gain advanced skills in English, but they also have the exciting and life-changing experience of living in American culture and attending a high-quality educational system. Students who graduate with an American high school diploma often times do not need to take the TOEFL exam to enter into a University—which saves students time, stress and money. Additionally, having a US high school diploma is valuable in America and around the world. Studying at The New America School opens doors and creates new adventures for international students living an American life. Finally, at The New America School each student is special and not just a number; teachers and staff are always available to help students. Other NAS benefits:

Tuition:

The cost for 12 months of education, including text books, is $7,000 per student. One-quarter (3 months) of the tuition must be paid in advance, and then monthly payments must be paid for the remaining months. In addition, students must provide their own living expenses, food, and transportation. Many of our students live together and travel together to help with the cost.
