A beautiful fall day provided the backdrop for the Grafton County Conservation District Fall Tour of Conservation Projects, a sampling of local landowners’ cooperative conservation efforts with the Grafton County Conservation District, NRCS, UNH Cooperative Extension, and other agencies.

New Hampshire RC&D Receives Tops Honors

New Hampshire North Country Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) was recognized with three awards at the 2008 New England Regional RC&D Conference. The conference is held annually to showcase area RC&D Council’s projects as well as facilitate communication and feedback on Council projects.  This years’ conference, held in Mystic, Connecticut on October 23rd-25th, proved to be a milestone in the North Country RC&D council’s 40 year history.

Five Student Conservation Association (SCA) Interns Join NH NRCS

NRCS will receive support across the state from recent college graduates participating in the SCA's internship program. With previous interns' work proving a success, the program has expanded to include Soil Conservationist Aides, a Technology intern, and a combined Easement Monitoring and Assistant RC&D Coordinator position.
