Federally Funded
Research Highlights
Research at UC’s campuses and national labs receives substantial
support from a number of federal agencies. Check
out these quarterlies for discoveries made possible by this
federal funding.
In 2001, UC Davis received a $35 million gift
from renowned Napa Valley vintner Robert Mondavi to establish the
Robert and Margrit Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science.
Mondavi is a long-time supporter of UC Davis’s premier viticulture
program – and his son and grandson are graduates of the school.
