The DA is a learning program designed to educate and train personnel so they understand distribution operations and can apply supply chain principles throughout the DPO's span of influence. The DA specifically addresses learning by aligning education and training objectives/courseware to the desired skill-sets defined in the JDDE Competency Model. The DA is a two-phased learning program.

  • Phase 1 of the Distribution Academy is a three-block USTRANSCOM-focused Introduction Curriculum.
    • Block 1 — Introduction course consisting of a DPO Overview, Commander's Guidance, Strategic Plan, USTRANSCOM Concepts and Initiatives, and staff officer training.
