Eastern Washington Public Water System Nominated for National Award
Pasadena Park Irrigation District #17, a water system in Spokane that serves 5,600 people, has been nominated for a national award from EPA's Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) for its work to become a more sustainable drinking water system. Thanks to their use of DWSRF funds to replace a leaking water main, drinking water that is cleaner and safer is now being distributed, millions of gallons of water are being saved, and the system is experiencing cost savings averaging $75,000 per year.
