Initial Distribution System Evaluation (IDSE) Reporting

Regional Information
How to Complete an IDSE Report in Region 10

An Initial Distribution System Evaluation (IDSE) is used to determine where the highest levels of total trihalomethane (TTHM) and haloacetic acid (HAA5) can be found in a water system's distribution system. All water systems that have completed either a Standard Monitoring IDSE or System Specific Study IDSE must prepare and submit an IDSE report under the Stage 2 Disinfectants and Disinfection Byproducts Rule (DBPR). The IDSE report includes the TTHM and HAA5 monitoring results from samples collected during the evaluation period and identifies monitoring locations to be used for future compliance monitoring.
