International Trade Fair September 23 - 26, Hamburg 2008

The SMM 2008 is the definite forum for all important businessmen of the ship building industry. Be it engineers, shipowners, managers, or mechanics; they all meet in Hamburg to trade information and ideas, as well as set the trends for the coming fiscal year.

As roughly 47,000 guests from around the world visited this exhibition in 2006, and more than 1,800 exhibitors from more than 50 countries present their goods at the SMM, it has turned into the leading show of the ship building industry. The past exhibitions have set a trend of bringing the biggest names in both the shipping industry as well as the supply industry together for one show. Next to the established heavy hitters will be more than 270 newcomers. There will be approximately 30 shipyards exhibiting this year at the fair, making this year’s SMM bigger than ever before. Focal points will include drivetrains, navigation systems, as well as automation and information technologies.
