    This report, the latest in the Department's Falling Through the Net series, shows that while large differences remain, remarkably rapid increases in computer use and Internet access across all income, race/ethnic, and regional groups are moving America toward fuller digital inclusion. In addition this analysis of household and individual experience, the current report includes first-time information on the spread of high-speed Internet access.

    Digital Economy 2000, the Commerce Department's third annual report on the information technology (IT) revolution, suggests that e-business and the extraordinary dynamism of industries that produce IT products and services are harbinger of a new era of higher, sustained growth with low inflation and low unemployment.
