Focus on Success 2008

Program will take place September 30-October 2 in Sioux Falls and will address options for education, vocational rehabilitation and adult services for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Individuals who are blind or visually impaired, family members, students, teachers and professionals in education, rehabilitation and independent living are encouraged to attend.

Service to People who are Deaf-Blind

Assists individuals who are experiencing both hearing loss and vision loss by providing a variety of specialized services.

Services to People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

Information on programs and services available to residents of South Dakota who are deaf or hard of hearing.

South Dakota AT4ALL

Provides information on state agencies, private businesses and technology lending programs along with individuals that are listing items for sale, giveaway, demonstration or loan.

South Dakota Council on Developmental Disabilities

Assists people with developmental disabilities to control their own destiny and to achieve the quality of life they desire.

South Dakota Division of Developmental Disabilities

Works to ensure that people with developmental disabilities have equal opportunities and receive the services and supports they need to live and work in South Dakota communities.

South Dakota Division of Rehabilitation Services

Provides services and programs to help individuals with disabilities obtain employment, economic self-sufficiency, personal independence and full inclusion into society.

South Dakota Funding & Resources for Assistive Technology

Includes tips to help identify funding sources and develop funding strategies, information on work incentive programs, sample letters and other resources.

South Dakota Office of Educational Services & Support

Offers special education programs and services for exceptional children.

South Dakota Parent Connection

A Parent Training and Information Center, the Parent Connection is a non-profit organization formed by parents, educators and services personnel to provide information and training to parents of children with disabilities or special health care needs throughout the state of South Dakota.

South Dakota Technology Related Assistance Services Program (DakotaLink)

Enables people in South Dakota to have greater access to assistive technology devices and services, to maintain independence, to explore funding options and to become educated about assistive technology issues.

PEPNet - Midwest

The Postsecondary Education Programs Network (PEPNet) provides resources, information, in-service training, and technical assistance for postsecondary institutions to improve existing services or to establish new services for students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
