There are a lot of great events all over North Texas this weekend. Click on the links below to find out more.

Celebrate our nation’s birthday at Fort Worth’s Fourth on the 4th. This free event is family friendly on the banks of the Trinity River at Panther Island Pavilion just behind Downtown Fort Worth. They’ll have live music and Jet Ski shows and when the sun goes down…a spectacular fireworks show!

Celebrate Fourth of July weekend at the Dallas Arboretum with patriotic music, flags and free admission tomorrow through Monday for military members with valid photo ID. Thursday July 3 marks the final Cool Thursday concert of the spring/summer series. Friday July 4 …there will be tons of things for the kids to do like a petting zoo and face painting in Pecan Grove from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Farmers Branch Independence Day Celebration is happening at Farmers Branch Historical Park Thursday July 3 evening at 6:30.

Arlington’s Light Up Arlington event is set for Thursday evening July 3 at Levitt Pavilion. There will be live music with American Jazz Composers followed by Firefall. You know Firefall’s tunes, “You Are the Woman”, “Just Remember I Love You” and “Strange Way”. The fireworks begin at 9:45.

Celebrate the 4th beginning Thursday evening July 3 with the Texas Rangers. The Texas Rangers Fan Sleepover begins this evening at 5 with fans camping out on the outfield…watching a live broadcast of the Rangers game from Baltimore…and then wrapping up the evening with a cool fireworks show at Globe Life Park.

Sachse’s 7th Annual Red, White & Blue Blast will be Thursday evening July 3at 6:00 PM, at Heritage Park. There will be a parade, live entertainment, food, stuff for the kids and of course fireworks.

Join the city of Waxahachie for a Fourth of July celebration with crape myrtles in full bloom during the 17th Annual Crape Myrtle Festival. This year’s “Pink Petals & Patriotism” will include Thursday evening’s July 3 Vintage Bank Tailgate Party featuring a 7pm concert with Journey tribute band Escape. A fireworks display follows the concert at 9 p.m. July 4th, the Festival continues with a Parade down Main Street.

The Southlake Stars and Stripes 2014 is set for Thursday evening July 3 at Southlake Town Square. Not only will there be fireworks at 9:30…but also food, patriotic music on three stages, a dual inflatable slide and crafts and games for the kids. You can even take a selfie with Uncle Sam.

Celebrate our nation’s independence with one of the best fireworks shows in the country at Addison Kaboom Town Thursday evening July 3. Enjoy live music, food, and more at Addison Circle Park. Admission is FREE but you still need tickets.

Mansfield’s Rockin’ Fourth of July is happening Thursday evening July 3 at Big League Dreams Sports Park with bounce houses, and ice slide, gaming truck and smash car. There will be a military appreciation and live music performed by All Funk Radio Show.

The Midlothian Independence Day Fireworks show is also set for Thursday evening July 3. The event at the Midlothian ISD Multi-Purpose Stadium parking lot is scheduled to begin at 9:15.

Lone Star Park and the City of Grand Prairie is hosting the annual Lone Stars & Stripes Celebration July 4. There will be plenty for the kids to do with bounce houses, pony rides, and a petting zoo. There will also be live music and following the last race there will be a 20-minute firework display choreographed to music.

Friday July 4, you can check out the Fair Park Fourth. A fireworks show will cap off a night of music featuring performances from Razzmajazz Dixieland Band and Trio Grande (a ZZ Top tribute group), patriotic music, about 25 rides on the State Fair of Texas Midway, water shows choreographed to music and food trucks. The show starts at 9:30 p.m.

Frisco is celebrating our nation’s birthday with awesome food, great music and fireworks. The Frisco Freedom Fest 2014 July 4 will offer a Party in the Plaza which includes a Children’s Expo with hamster ball races, multiple zip lines and Euro bungees, rock climbing wall and bounce house inflatables. There will also be a Hot Dogs and Hot Rods car show and a Hot Dog Eating Contest.

A Fourth of July Celebration is happening Jul 4 evening at Fort Worth’s Coyote Drive-In. Check out movies and the nearby fireworks show on the Trinity River.

The Bedford 4th Fest is set for Friday evening July 4 from 4 to 11 at Bedford Boys Ranch Park.

Friday evening July 4 at 9:30, Grapevine celebrates in true patriotic style with the 32nd Annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza.

Fireworks at Joe Pool Lake are happening at 9:30 Thursday night July 3 at Lynn Creek Park.

The Lancaster / DeSoto Fourth of July Celebration is set for 6:00 Friday evening July 4 at Lancaster Community Park.

The Irving Independence Day Fireworks Festivities are from 6 to 10 Friday evening July 4 at Lake Carolyn. Evening activities at Lake Carolyn include live music from the Irving Symphony Orchestra.

The Richardson Family Fourth Celebration is from 6 to 10:15 Friday evening July 4 at Breckinridge Park.

If you have never been over to Gun Barrel City, you need to make a point of being there this coming weekend. At the park on the 5th, it is the Gun Barrel City July Fest Concert with Casey Donahew, Vanilla Ice, and Back in Black. They’ll also have a car show, battle of the bands and fireworks.
