Recycling is the easiest thing we can all do to improve our community, conserve natural resources, and create green jobs.
Join us in our 5 week long campaign to educate the community on the importance of recycling. Here are some ways you can help:
- Support recycling in our community and take the America Recycles Day pledge.
- Get Caught "Green Handed"! Starting October 13, in a city-wide
effort to encourage recycling, Parks & Recreation Staff will be
looking for individuals recycling in our parks and City facilities. You
may win a prize for getting caught "Green Handed".
- Take part in the November 3, 2014, City Council meeting where the Mayor will read an America Recycles Day Proclamation.
- Join the library for a special story time on November 13, 2014,
at 11 AM. Park Board members will read stories to the children about
recycling.
- Read these 15 steps to renew your commitment to recycling.
After you take the pledge, go a step further. Send an email to your family and friends and encourage them to take the pledge with us.
Together, we can make recycling bigger and better 365 days a year.
