Regional Accuracy Assessment Reports

These regional reports describe the accuracy of NOAA’s 2010-2011 Coastal Change Analysis Program (C-CAP) regional and national land cover updates and the methods used to assess that accuracy. The reports examine the accuracy not only of the newly produced land cover products, but also of the identified changes between the new products and the previous 2006 mapping effort. This information will help users understand the quality of these maps and any identified changes.

The methods and results of these accuracy assessments were highlighted in the September 2016 edition of Photogrammetric Engineering & Remote Sensing. Read the full article.
