MISSION
To provide what is essential to ensure the highest quality of published reports  and derivative works for the nation by providing research expertise, access to multi-disciplinary scholarly  research, and information technology ; Lead knowledge-sharing and management of enterprise intellectual capital  through deployment of information integration technologies across any institutional data hub or repository that leverages the creation and sharing of knowledge and fosters an environment of collaboration and partnerships.
 
VISION
The Library/Research Center will be a recognized center of excellence by providing high-quality scholarly science, medical, and engineering resources and leveraging information technology to stimulate the exchange and creation of knowledge.  Information will exist in an environment that contributes to the open, collaborative and unifying culture of the organization.
 
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Research Center reports collection is not open to the public for browsing.  However, reports can be searched here Use http://www.nap.edu or the publicly-available Worldcat.org database.  The Research Center staff will retrieve specific reports for visitors prior to scheduling an appointment.
