Volunteer Opportunities

By becoming a museum volunteer you will have the opportunity to interact with an energetic group of people who have a common interest in the history of women in the Army. Museum volunteers assist at museum functions, support various outreach programs, conduct oral history interviews, receive visitors, lead Museum tours, and work behind the scenes in the archives and research area.

Our Volunteer Program offers a range of rewarding and interesting opportunities. The volunteer positions also offer a variety of work schedules, recognizing diverse volunteer lifestyles. Placement in any particular volunteer position depends on the volunteer's interests, skills, qualifications and time schedule, as well as the needs of the museum. All positions have a written job description that outlines the major duties and responsibilities to be carried out by the person holding that position. Complete position descriptions are available through the Volunteer Program Coordinator.

Types of Volunteer positions include:

Visitor Information Services
Public Outreach
Learning Center Specialist
Archives
Curatorial/Collections
Sewing
Tour Development
Web/Marketing Development
