The 35Express project has been divided into three segments: North, Middle and South. Closure information is listed by segment.

North Segment: US 380 - Denton to Swisher Road/FM 2181

Nightly Closure of McCormick Street at Interstate 35E in Denton

North- and southbound McCormick Street underneath I-35E will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. through Saturday, Oct. 17.
Detours are as follows:

Northbound McCormick Street traffic will be detoured to the southbound I-35E frontage road to Fort Worth Drive and then back to the northbound I-35E frontage road to McCormick Street.

Southbound McCormick Street traffic will be detoured to the northbound I-35E frontage road to North Texas Boulevard and then back to the southbound I-35E frontage road to McCormick Street.

Various Lanes Closed on the North- and Southbound Interstate 35E Frontage Roads

Various lanes of the north- and southbound I-35E frontage roads between Oak Drive and Corinth Parkway will be closed beginning Monday, June 15 through Saturday, Dec. 19.

Closure times are as follows:

Daily closures will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Nightly Closures will take place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Various Lanes Closed on the North- and Southbound Interstate 35E Frontage Roads

Various lanes of the north- and southbound I-35E frontage roads between Swisher Road and Post Oak Drive will be closed beginning Monday, June 15 through Saturday, Dec. 19.

Closure times are as follows:

Daily closures will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Nightly Closures will take place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Various Lanes Closed on the North- and Southbound Interstate 35E Frontage Roads in Denton

Various lanes of the north- and southbound I-35E frontage roads between Corinth Parkway and Loop 288 will be closed beginning Monday, June 15 through Saturday, Dec. 19.

Closure times are as follows:

Daily closures will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Nightly Closures will take place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Various Lane Closures Continue Along North and Southbound Interstate 35E for Pothole Repair

Crews will continue rolling lane closures along north and southbound I-35E between I-635 in Dallas and U.S. 380 in Denton through Saturday, Dec. 12. Daytime closures will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and nighttime closures will take place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. These closures are needed to repair potholes on the mainlanes. Law enforcement will be present to assist with traffic control in the closure area

Flagging Operations on East- and Westbound Corinth Parkway in Corinth

Flagging operations will be implemented on east- and westbound Corinth Parkway near the northbound I-35E frontage road Monday, Aug. 31 through Saturday, Oct. 17. Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times. The right lane of the northbound I-35E frontage road approaching Corinth Parkway will be closed during operation times. These operations are needed for utility work in the area.

Operations will take place:

Daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Permanent Closure of the Northbound Interstate 35E Entrance Ramp Near Exit 459 in Corinth

The northbound I-35E entrance ramp near Exit 459 in Corinth is permanently closed. Northbound traffic will continue on the frontage road to the next entrance ramp to access northbound I-35E.

Nightly Full Closures of East- and Westbound Mayhill Road Between the Interstate 35E Frontage Roads in Denton

East- and westbound Mayhill Road between the north- and southbound I-35E frontage roads will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15. through Saturday, Oct. 17. Please note, Loop 288 and Mayhill Road will not be closed simultaneously.

Detours are as follows (click here for a detour map):

Westbound Mayhill Road traffic will be detoured north to Loop 288, to the southbound frontage road and back to westbound Mayhill Road.

Eastbound Mayhill Road traffic be detoured south to Post Oak Drive, to the northbound frontage road and back to eastbound Mayhill Road.

Nightly Full Closure of East- and Westbound Loop 288 Between the Interstate 35E Frontage Roads in Denton

East- and westbound Loop 288 between the north- and southbound I-35E frontage roads will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24 through Monday, Nov. 23. Please note, Loop 288 and Mayhill Road will not be closed simultaneously.

Detours are as follows:

Westbound Loop 288 traffic will be detoured north to Teasley Lane, to the southbound frontage road and back to westbound Loop 288.

Eastbound Loop 288 traffic will be detoured south to Mayhill/State School Road, to the northbound frontage road and back to eastbound Loop 288.

Closure of Various Streets at the North- and Southbound Interstate 35E Frontage Roads in Denton

The following streets will be closed to through traffic at the north and southbound I-35E frontage roads:

Knight Street and Avenue C will temporarily close at the southbound I-35E frontage road through spring 2016. Underwood Street and Kendolph Drive will permanently close at the southbound I-35E frontage road.

The following detours will be in place:

Access to the southbound frontage road from Avenue C and Knight Street: Motorists will be detoured to Greenlee Street to access the southbound frontage road.

Access to the southbound frontage road from Kendolph Drive and Underwood Street: Motorists will travel west on Underwood Street and turn right onto North Texas Boulevard to access the southbound frontage road.

Collier Street will temporarily close at the northbound I-35E frontage road through spring 2016. Kendolph Street will permanently close at the northbound I-35E frontage road.

The following detour will be in place:

Motorists wishing to access I-35E from Kendolph and Collier Streets will travel west on Eagle Drive to North Texas Boulevard and turn left to reach the interstate.

Various Nightly Closures on North- and Southbound Interstate 35E Between Mayhill Road and Fort Worth Drive in Denton

Various lanes of north- and southbound I-35E between Mayhill Road and U.S. 377/Fort Worth Drive will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday, June 17 through Saturday, Dec. 19. Law enforcement will be present to assist with traffic control in the closure area.

Various Lane Closures on the North- and Southbound Interstate 35E Frontage Roads in Denton

Various lanes of the north- and southbound I-35E frontage roads between Teasley Lane and Bonnie Brae Street will be closed Saturday, June 13 through Saturday, Dec. 19. Closure times are as follows:

Nightly closures will take place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Daily closures will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Post Oak Drive Bridge Closed to Truck Traffic

Beginning Tuesday, May 26, large trucks will be prohibited to cross over Interstate 35E at Post Oak Drive. Trucks with multiple axles, such as tractor trailers, will use the following alternate routes to cross the interstate:

Trucks wishing to access westbound Post Oak Drive will go north on the I-35E frontage road, turn left onto Mayhill Road and return on the southbound frontage road.

Trucks wishing to access eastbound Post Oak Drive will go south down the I-35E frontage road, use the U-Turn near Exit 459 (near the Destiny Dallas RV Resort) and return up the northbound frontage road.

Lane Closure on the Southbound I-35E Frontage Road Between Loop 288 and Wind River Lane in Denton

The left lane of the southbound I-35E frontage road between Loop 288 and Wind River Lane will be closed from noon until 9 a.m. through Saturday, Oct. 17.

Long-term Closure of US 77/Dallas Drive Entrance Ramp to Southbound Interstate 35

The US 77/Dallas Drive entrance ramp to southbound I-35E will be closed through Fall 2015. During the closure, 35Express crews will rehabilitate the bridge.

Detours are as follows:

Southbound traffic will turn right on Teasley Lane, left onto the southbound I-35E frontage road and then enter the southbound I-35E entrance ramp.

Traffic traveling south on US/77Dallas Drive will turn right on the northbound I-35E frontage road, travel north to Teasley Lane, turn left on Teasley Lane, turn left to the southbound I-35E frontage road, and then back to southbound I-35E.

Middle Segment: Swisher Road/FM 2181 to the President George Bush Turnpike

Nightly Right Lane Closure on the Northbound Interstate 35E Frontage Road at Valley Ridge Circle in Lewisville

The northbound right lane of the I-35E frontage road approaching Valley Ridge Circle will be closed nightly between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9 through Tuesday, Oct. 13.

Traffic Pattern Changes on Northbound I-35E Near FM 407

Long term closure of the northbound entrance ramp to I-35E from Valley Ridge Boulevard through summer 2016: Motorists will continue down the northbound frontage road to the entrance ramp from Eagle Point Drive (north of FM 407).

Northbound access to FM 407, DCTA Highland Village Station and Garden Ridge Boulevard: Motorists will now use the FM 407 exit ramp (north of the KCS Railroad) to access FM 407, Garden Ridge Boulevard and the DCTA Highland Village station. This will be the last opportunity to exit for FM 407, the DCTA Highland Village Station and Garden Ridge Boulevard prior to Lewisville Lake.

Southbound Interstate 35E Entrance Ramp at FM 1171 in Lewisville Closed Nightly

The southbound I-35E entrance ramp at FM 1171 will be closed nightly between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2 through Friday, Nov. 6. While the ramp is closed, traffic will continue south on the frontage road to the entrance ramp at Fox Avenue.

Additional closures in this area during this time include:

Various lanes of the southbound I-35E frontage road between FM 1171 and Rolling Ridge Drive
The right lane of eastbound FM 1171 approaching the southbound I-35E frontage road

These closures are needed to complete a traffic shift in the area.

Various Nightly Lane Closures on North- and Southbound Interstate 35E approaching Fox Avenue in Lewisville

Various lanes of north- and southbound I-35E approaching Fox Avenue will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. now through Friday, Dec. 18. Law enforcement will be present to assist with traffic control.

Daily Left Lane Closure on the Southbound Interstate 35E Frontage Road in Lewisville

The left lane of the southbound I-35E frontage road between Honda Drive SH 121 Business and Corporate Drive will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Saturday, Oct. 10.

Northbound Entrance Ramp from Fox Avenue in Lewisville Closed Nightly

The northbound I-35E entrance ramp from Fox Avenue will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12 through Sunday, Oct. 18. The left lane of the northbound frontage road approaching the entrance ramp will also be closed.

During this closure, traffic will continue north along the frontage road to the entrance ramp from FM 1171/Main Street. Law enforcement will be on site to assist with traffic control.

Various Lane Closures on the North- and Southbound Interstate 35E Frontage Roads in Lewisville

Various lanes of the north- and southbound I-35E frontage roads between Valley Ridge Boulevard and Garden Ridge Boulevard will be closed now through Saturday, Dec. 5.

Closure times are as follows:

Nightly closures will take place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Daily closures will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Nightly Lane Closures on Northbound Interstate 35E between Garden Ridge Boulevard and the Lewisville Lake Bridge

The two right lanes of northbound I-35E between Garden Ridge Boulevard and the Lewisville Lake bridge will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16 through Tuesday, Nov. 24.

Various Nightly Closures on North- and Southbound Interstate 35E between Garden Ridge Boulevard and Turbeville Road

Various lanes of north- and southbound I-35E between Garden Ridge Boulevard and Turbeville Road will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday, June 15 through Saturday, Dec. 19. Law enforcement will be present to assist with traffic control.

Various Lane Closures Continue Along North and Southbound Interstate 35E for Pothole Repair

Various Nightly Closures on North- and Southbound Interstate 35E in Carrollton and Lewisville

Various lanes of north- and southbound I-35E between President George Bush Turnpike and FM 1171/Main Street will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31 through Saturday, Dec. 5. At least one lane in each direction will remain open to traffic.

Various Nightly Closures on North- and Southbound Interstate 35E approaching Garden Ridge Boulevard in Lewisville

Various lanes of north- and southbound I-35E approaching Garden Ridge Boulevard will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. now through Saturday, Oct. 10.

Permanent Closure of Southbound I-35E Entrance Ramp Between Garden Ridge Boulevard and FM 407 in Lewisville

The southbound I-35E entrance ramp between Garden Ridge Boulevard and FM 407 is permanently closed to traffic. A new southbound entrance ramp, just south of the current ramp, is expected to open fall 2015. During this closure, traffic will continue south along the frontage road to the entrance ramp near Valley Ridge Boulevard to access southbound I-35E.

Flagging Operations will take place on East- and Westbound Garden Ridge Boulevard at Interstate 35E in Lewisville

Flagging operations will take place on east- and westbound Garden Ridge Boulevard at I-35E Wednesday, Aug. 12 through Saturday, Oct. 10.

Flagging operations will be in effect:

Daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Short Term Closure of Intestate 35E Ramp to Corporate Drive Ramp in Lewisville

The southbound I-35E exit ramp to Corporate Drive is closed to traffic through Sunday, Oct. 11. While the ramp is closed, traffic will exit I-35E at State Highway 121 Business and continue south along the frontage road to access Corporate Drive.

Various Daily Closures on the Southbound Frontage Road in Lewisville

Various lanes of the southbound frontage road between State Highway 121 Business and east Southwest Parkway will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. now through Saturday, Oct. 10.

Various Nightly Lane Closures on the Southbound I-35E Frontage Road from Valley Ridge Boulevard to the Sam Rayburn Tollway in Lewisville

Various lanes of the southbound I-35E frontage road from Valley Ridge Boulevard the Sam Rayburn Tollway will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. now through Saturday, October 17. At least one lane of traffic will remain open throughout the closure

FM 407 Bridge Over Interstate Permanently Closed

The FM 407 bridge across I-35E is permanently closed. The following detours are in place (Click here for detour maps):

East and westbound traffic across the bridge is closed. FM 407 traffic will be directed to the north or southbound frontage road.

To continue east on FM 407/Lake Park Drive, eastbound motorists will be detoured south to North Summit Avenue, east on Valley Ridge Boulevard, north to the northbound I-35E frontage road and east on FM 407/Lake Park Drive.

To continue west on FM 407, westbound motorists will be detoured south on Mill Street, west on Valley Ridge Boulevard north on North Summit Avenue and west on FM 407.

Southbound I-35E motorists wanting to access eastbound FM 407/Lake Park Road will take the existing FM 407 exit, travel west on FM 407, south on North Summit Avenue, east on Valley Ridge Boulevard over the interstate and north on the frontage road to east FM 407/Lake Park Drive.

Northbound I-35E motorists wanting to access westbound FM 407 will exit at Garden Ridge Boulevard, continue west across the Garden Ridge bridge and travel south to westbound FM 407.

South Segment: President George Bush Turnpike to I-635

Daily Right Lane Closure on Eastbound Crosby Road in Carrollton

The eastbound right lane of Crosby Road approaching the northbound I-35E Frontage Road will be closed daily between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2 through Saturday, Oct. 10.

Various Nightly Closures on North- and Southbound Interstate 35E in Carrollton

Various lanes of north- and southbound I-35E between Jackson Road and the President George Bush Turnpike will be closed nightly between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. through Saturday, Dec. 5. Law enforcement will be on site for traffic control in the closure area.

Various Nightly Closures on the Southbound Interstate 35E Frontage Road in Carrollton

Various lanes of the southbound I-35E frontage road between the President George Bush Turnpike and Whitlock Lane/Sandy Lake Road will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28 through Sunday, Nov. 1.

Various lanes of north- and southbound I-35E between the President George Bush Turnpike and Valwood Parkway will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. now through Saturday, Dec. 19. Law enforcement will be present to assist with traffic control.

Various Nightly Closures on North- and Southbound Interstate 35E Between Royal Lane and Valwood Parkway

Various lanes of north- and southbound I-35E between Royal Lane and Valwood Parkway will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. now through Saturday, Dec. 19. Law enforcement will be present to assist with traffic control.

Nightly Closure of Valwood Parkway at Interstate 35E in Farmers Branch

All lanes of east- and westbound Valwood Parkway beneath I-35E will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. through Saturday, Oct. 24. The closure is needed for work on the Valwood Parkway overpass.

Detours are as follows:

Eastbound Valwood Parkway traffic take the southbound frontage road to Valley View Lane, make a U-turn, continue north on the frontage road to eastbound Valwood Parkway

Westbound Valwood Parkway traffic will take the northbound frontage road to Crosby Road, turn left at the signalized intersection to the southbound frontage road, to westbound Valwood Parkway.

Various Lane Closures Continue Along North and Southbound Interstate 35E for Pothole Repair

Nightly Full Closure of East- and Westbound College Street Underneath Interstate 35E in Carrollton

East- and westbound College Street underneath I-35E will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Saturday, Oct. 31.

Detours are as follows:

Westbound College Street traffic will be detoured north to Whitlock Lane/Sandy Lake Road and back to the southbound frontage road.

Eastbound College Street traffic will be detoured south to Belt Line Road and back to the northbound frontage road.

Various Daily Closures on North- and Southbound Harry Hines Boulevard between Interstates 35E and Interstate 635 in Dallas

Various lanes of north- and southbound Harry Hines Boulevard between I-35E and I-635 will be closed daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Saturday, Nov. 28.

Various Closures on the North- and Southbound Interstate 35E Frontage Roads in Carrollton and Farmers Branch

Various lanes of north- and southbound I-35E between Main Street in Carrollton and Valley View Lane in Farmers Branch will be closed Monday, Aug. 31 through Saturday, Dec. 5.

Closure times are as follows:

Daily closures will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Nightly closures will take place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Various Nightly Closures on North- and Southbound Interstate 35E in Carrollton and Lewisville

Nightly Closure of the Southbound I-35E Frontage Road Near Belt Line Road in Carrollton

The following closures will be in place nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18 through Saturday, Oct. 31:

All lanes of the southbound I-35E frontage road between Belt Line and Crosby Roads

The left lane of the southbound I-35E frontage road approaching Belt Line Road

Detour: Traffic will travel west on Belt Line Road and turn left onto Hutton Drive. Drivers will continue south and turn left onto Crosby Road and back to the southbound I-35E frontage road.

Long-Term Closure of Entrance Ramp at Belt Line Road in Carrollton

The southbound I-35E entrance ramp at Belt Line Road is closed through mid-2017. Motorists will use the entrance ramp south of Crosby Road to access southbound I-35E.

Right Lane of Southbound Interstate 35E Frontage Road Closed Daily in Carrollton

The right lane of the southbound I-35E frontage road between Frankford Road and the President George Bush Turnpike will be closed daily from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 5 to Saturday, October 31.

Various Nightly Lane Closures on the Southbound I-35E Frontage Road Between Valley Ridge Boulevard and the Sam Rayburn Tollway in Lewisville

Various closures on the North- and Southbound Interstate 35E Frontage Roads in Carrollton

Various lanes of the north- and southbound I-35E frontage roads in Carrollton will be closed beginning Saturday, July 18 through Wednesday, October 28.

Closure times and limits are below:

Between the President George Bush Turnpike and Whitlock Lane will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Between the President George Bush Turnpike and the Sam Rayburn Tollway will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Between the President George Bush Turnpike and Whitlock Lane will be closed daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Lane Reduction on Belt Line Road in Carrollton

East and westbound Belt Line Road between Denton Drive and Hutton Road has been reduced to two lanes in each direction which will last through mid-2017. Due to this traffic pattern change, eastbound motorists wishing to access the RaceTrac gas station will use Broadway Street.

Various Daily Closures on the Southbound Interstate 35E Frontage Road from Capital Parkway to College Street in Carrollton

Various lanes of the southbound I-35E frontage road from Capital Parkway to College Street will be closed daily from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. through Friday, Oct. 30.

Various Daily and Nightly Closures on East- and Westbound Harry Hines Boulevard at the Interstate 35E Overpass in Dallas

Various lanes of east- and westbound Harry Hines Boulevard underneath I-35E will be closed through Saturday, Oct. 31. Lane closure times are:

Daily closures will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Nightly closures will take place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Construction Limits Route 400 Bus Stops Along Belt Line Road

Passengers are advised of ongoing construction along Belt Line Road in Carrollton that will restrict DART service in the area through mid-2017.

The project is taking place on both sides of Belt Line between Hutton Drive and Jackson Street and prevents DART buses from stopping to board or drop off passengers anywhere between the two locations. Route 400 service will continue to connect with the DART Green Line at Downtown Carrollton Station, but will otherwise operate non-stop between Jackson and Hutton.

Interstate 35E HOV Lanes Permanently Closed

The I-35E north and southbound high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes between FM 3040/Round Grove Road in Lewisville and to I-635 in Dallas are permanently closed.

U-Turn Lane at Valwood Parkway and Interstate 35E Closed Through Late 2015

The U-turn lane at Valwood Parkway from the northbound I-35E frontage road to the southbound I-35E frontage road will be closed through late 2015. Motorists will need to turn left from the signalized intersection to access the southbound I-35E frontage road.
