Psychiatry & Behavioral Health
Welcome to the website of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at the UNT Health Science Center (UNTHSC) and the Physician's Group, UNT Health. We provide a variety of mental health services to the citizens of Tarrant County. Some of the sub-specialties/services we offer include Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services, Geriatric Psychiatry, Women's Mental Health, General Psychiatry, and Psychological Testing.
In addition to providing clinical services at UNTHSC and John Peter Smith Health Network, Psychiatry and Behavioral Health is involved in psychological research.
The providers in our department are involved in many community service activities and committees, as well as undergraduate, and graduate educational training of medical students of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, Physician Assistant's Program of School of Health Professions, and Medical Residents at John Peter Smith Hospital.
