Transfer of Knowledge

The Science Collaborative is committed to sharing information and good ideas from the place-based research we fund with the Reserve System in the most effective way we can. We call this process "transfer."

Like the projects we fund through our RFP, transfer is "intended user" driven. Our transfer initiatives focus on research of the highest interest to NERRS staff and their partners, and we share information about this research in ways that make sense for the people who want to learn more about it.

Transfer could take place through a webinar, training, workshop, facilitated discussion, or some other event, or it might entail the creation of a reference tool like a website or manual. This pdf will tell you more about specific transfer projects that are underway.

Interested in exploring how our transfer efforts could benefit you? We encourage you to start by learning learn more about the projects we fund on our sponsored projects page. We’ve also just begun a webinar series to share information and spark dialogue about Science Collaborative funded projects as they are unfolding.

If you have a question about any of these projects, or you want to learn more about bringing their results to your local reserve, contact Dolores Leonard.
