254th Combat Communications Squadron

During exercises, contingencies, or actual war, the 254th Air Base Group's mission is to provide meteorological support and deploy with, advise, and assist the ground force commander in planning, requesting, coordinating and controlling close air support, tactical air reconnaissance, and tactical airlift. The 254th is the only Air Guard unit on Guam and maintains a strong force of 450 members.

<p>In the Air National Guard, maintaining our communications systems is integral to mission success. That's why we need Cyber Transport Systems Specialists to deploy, sustain, troubleshoot and repair standard voice, data and video network infrastructure systems, IP detection systems and cryptographic equipment. In this role, you'll manage devices and systems with the most current software tools. <p>Whether it's at your local Air Guard unit or in a temporary disaster relief facility, electricity is vital to Air Guard operations. As an Electrical Power Production Specialist, it'll be your job to get it there and to keep the power supply fully functional.
