Education Benefits

Texas provides its Air Guard members with 100% tuition reimbursement up to 12 hours per semester at state colleges and universities.

Medical Benefits

Texas Air Guard members enjoy excellent medical care while on active duty, and are provided with disability, survivor benefits, low-cost health and life insurance, and funeral expenses.

Miscellaneous

The Texas Veterans Land Bond Program provides low interest loans to Air Guard members looking to buy land or a house, or to fund home improvements. Air Guard members also have exclusive access to distinctive auto plates. Texas state employees that serve in the Air Guard get 15 days military leave per year.

State Tax Advantage

Texas Air Guard members pay absolutely no state income tax on their military pay.
