AFCT
The Armed Forces Classification Test (AFCT) uses the AFCT to evaluate in-service personnel who wish to improve your AFCT scores in order to qualify for re-enlistment, a MOS change, WO training, OCS, or ROTC. The AFCT is a battery of 10 subtests, from which 10 composite scores are derived. Study: Study the Reading and Math section of a GED Review book, review all subtests in an ASVAB Preview book and /or enroll and complete the FAST program.

BMST
The Basic Math Science Test (BMST) is used as a diagnostic tool in the selection of soldiers for Prime Power Production Specialist Course (MOS 52E). All soldiers attending an NCOES course, submitting a CID or WO packet and self-evaluation or other reasons are required to take the TABE Level A Math and Reading subtests. All soldiers with a GT score less than 100 are required to take the TABE Level 9A all subtests within 60 days of their in-processing at the Education Center. Your test performance will be used by the counselor to assist you in academic remediation.

Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Support (DANTES)

All exams MUST be approved and scheduled by an Army Guidance Counselor at the Fort Gordon Education Center .

Effective 20 November 2010, DANTES will only fund a Service member's initial examination fee for each subject College Level Examination Program (CLEP), DSST (previously known as the DANTES Subject Standardized Tests) and Excelsior College Examinations (ECE) exams.  If a desired passing score is not obtained, retesting is available on a personally funded basis.  To prevent test familiarity and safeguard test security, the testing agencies will continue to require that all examinees must wait 180 calendar days from the last test date to retest on these exams.  If an examinee tests before the waiting period has elapsed, the test score will be invalidated and the waiting period starts over.

Test preparation materials for the SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, and college credit exams are available in the Multi-Use Learning Facility.
