Urban Congestion Reports

The Urban Congestion Report (UCR) is produced on a quarterly basis and characterizes emerging traffic congestion and reliability trends at the national and city level. The reports utilize archived traffic operations data gathered from state DOTs and a private traffic information company. The reports are currently using data from 19 urban areas in the U.S.. The production of these reports is a cooperative effort between the Texas Transportation Institute and FHWA.

Each quarterly UCR compares data from the most recent three months to the same three months in the previous year. Quarterly reports beginning in Fiscal Year 2009 (October - December 2008) can be found below.
