McAllister Hall
Named after Admiral Charles Albert McAllister, the Chief of Engineering for the Coast Guard (1902-1919). All the engineering programs are instructed and taught here. On display in the foyer is a stunning 2nd order fresnel lens and the Senior Engineer Projects ranging from DGPS studies, Rails to Trails project to underwater vehicles. McAllister Hall holds classrooms and labs for Civil Engineering, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. There are photographs and display cases marking every passageway on subjects such as Loran stations, cutter and aircraft studies and many replicas of vessels. The labs run from Environmental Engineering and Soil Labs to the Tow Tank/Hydrodynamics Lab.
