New IT Requiremnets for Attending WLC

Effective immediately with the exception of students from MI domains, MEDCOM domains and Japan, all soldiers enrolled in the Warrior Leaders Course (WLC) must be able to access the Pacific LandWarNet from the WLC classrooms. If soldiers do not have an account on the AP domain, valid PIN and serviceable CAC on day 0, they will be denied enrollment.

All soldiers must ensure that they can log into the AP domain PRIOR TO ATTENDING WLC.

If you cannot log into the AP domain from your home unit, you will not be able to access the PLWN from the WLC Classrooms.

To be able to log into the PLWN, the following conditions must be met:

1. Have a valid Common Access Card (CAC) and PIN.
The CAC must not be expired, must have a valid U.S. Government ID Certificate(s), the CAC PIN must not be blocked (entered PIN incorrectly three or more times), the CAC must be in suitable condition so it can be read by a CAC reader, and you must know your PIN.
If any of these conditions are not met, you will need to visit a soldier support center to have a new CAC issued or have your CAC PIN reset.
2. Have a valid DoD IA Awareness Training Certificate.
Anyone without a valid DoD IA Certificate will need to log onto the Fort Gordon Information Assurance training site at https://ia.signal.army.mil. and take the DoD Information Assurance Awareness Exam.
This certificate expires annually and your certificate must not expire while attending WLC. If this certificate expires while attending WLC your account may be disabled and you will not be able to access the PLWN.
3. Have a valid User Account on the AP domian.
If you do not have a User Account on the domain, you will not be able to access the PLWN.
Verify with you home unit G-6/S-6 that you have a user account on the domain and that it is not disabled for any reason.
If you can log into the PLWN from your home unit, you should be able access the PLWN from the WLC classrooms.
