Gender
Promoting female empowerment is critical to Haiti’s development. USAID’s work to promote gender equality and women’s economic, political, and social empowerment is a cross-cutting theme to all of USAID’s programs in Haiti and supports USAID’s Gender Equality and Female Empowerment Policy. Additionally, Haiti is a focus country for the implementation of the National Action Plan for Women, Peace, and Security.
