Office of Cancer Genomics (OCG)

Director: Daniela S. Gerhard, Ph.D.
OCG supplies a suite of technology, informatics, clones, reagents, and data to enable the cancer research community to pursue studies of the molecular mechanisms of cancer initiation and progression. OCG has recently:
- Completed the mammalian gene collection with clones for 90%−97% of human and mouse genes with specific transcripts.
- Discovered new genetic variations linked to prostate cancer risk and increased risk for breast cancer.
- Released a characterization dataset for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, adding to existing datasets on childhood cancers such as leukemias, neuroblastoma, and osteosarcoma.
